Elon Musk’s social media gig, X, managed to sort things out with Taylor Swift’s searches after a little hiccup. People couldn’t see some results because there were weird fake pictures of Taylor going around, and X decided to block them temporarily.
But don’t worry, now if you look up Taylor Swift on the site, you’ll find tweets like you normally would.
Yesterday, if you tried, it gave you an error and asked you to try again, saying, “Don’t fret — it’s not your fault.” The funny thing, people found a trick by putting quotation marks around her name.
Joe Benarroch, who’s in charge of business operations at X, said, “Search is back, and we’re keeping an eye out for anyone trying to spread this stuff. If we find it, we’re getting rid of it.”
Here’s a weird thing, though: you still can’t search for “Taylor Swift AI.” Unlike the usual fake pictures, these seem to come from a smart computer that can make new images super fast.
After the fake pictures started going around, Taylor’s fans, the “Swifties,” jumped into action. They started a positive picture campaign on X, using #ProtectTaylorSwift to share good images and reported accounts that were sharing fake ones.
