In their 1983 clip, they are saying, “Back then, they used to enjoy reading the books of Aristotle and Plato. They wanted to be able to ask them questions. But in the next 50 to 100 years, he imagined a machine that could capture a person’s ‘basic spirit, or fundamental principles, or any basic way of looking at the world.'” And as we can see, this is actually happening.
He also said, “This machine will be able to answer questions just like a real person can.” As we can see, there are many bots in the market today that answer just like humans and solve many of our problems.
In his same speech, Steve Jobs also said, “When the next Aristotle comes, if he spends his entire life with one of these machines, and takes all his knowledge with him, maybe one day after that person has died, we could ask the machine, ‘Hey, what would Aristotle have said?'” I think this is possible because the world of AI is moving forward very quickly.
