Kung Fu Panda continues to dominate the box office! The beloved animated franchise’s fourth installment held onto the top spot for a second week, grossing an impressive $30 million domestically. This brings its total domestic earnings to a whopping $107.7 million.
Internationally, the film starring Jack Black added another $39.6 million, pushing its worldwide total to a mighty $176.5 million.
Sci-fi epic Dune: Part Two landed in second place domestically, bringing in $29.1 million in its third week. Overall, the film has earned a staggering $205.3 million domestically. Internationally, it’s nearing the half-billion mark, adding another $51.2 million this weekend for a worldwide total of a cool $494.7 million.
Meanwhile, a heartwarming new tale opened in third place. “Arthur the King,” starring Mark Wahlberg, tells the true story of an athlete’s incredible bond with his dog during a grueling adventure race.
The film debuted with $7.5 million domestically, based on the real-life experiences of Mikael Lindnord and his furry companion. Wahlberg even admitted to trying to bribe the dog’s trainer – that’s how strong the connection was!
The horror flick “Imaginary” and the biopic “Cabrini” also secured spots in the top five. “Imaginary” scared up $5.6 million, bringing its two-week total to $19.1 million domestically (and $27.4 million worldwide). “Cabrini,” which tells the story of a Catholic missionary, debuted with $2.8 million, for a two-week total of $13 million.
